-pairing superconductivity in generalized Hubbard models

چکیده
We consider generalized Hubbard models in arbitrary dimensions which have additional nearest-neigbour interactions. It is shown that in a large region of the parameter space these models have ground states of the-pairing type. These ground states exhibit oo-diagonal long-range order and are thus su-perconducting. In special cases the complete (T = 0) phase diagram can be obtained. The proposal to explain high-temperature superconductivity in the framework of strongly correlated electrons (Anderson 1987, Zhang and Rice 1988) has stimulated the search for purely electronic mechanisms of superconductivity. Unfortunately, only very few exact results are available. In this paper we will show that the so-called-pairing mechanism can be used to construct exact ground states for generalized Hubbard models in a wide range of interaction parameters. These-pairing states are known (Yang 1989) to exhibit oo-diagonal long-range order (ODLRO) (Yang 1962). Since ODLRO implies also the Meissner eeect and ux quantization (Sewell 1990, 1995, Nieh et.al. 1995) these states are superconducting.-pairing superconductivity is closely related to local-pair superconductivity which has been reviewed in (Micnas, Ranninger and Robaszkiewicz 1990). In the following we will be interested in generalized Hubbard models with Hamiltonian H = P hjli h jl , where hjli denotes nearest-neighbour sites on a d dimensional lattice and h jl = ?t X (c y j c l + c y l c j) +

The Fermion-ladder Models: Extensions of the Hubbard Model with η-pairing
We propose the two-leg fermion-ladder models for SU(2|2) and SU(4) cases. The former is exactly the extended Hubbard model proposed by Essler, Korepin and Schoutens. The later is a new model also with η-pairing symmetry which is important for superconductivity. This new extension of the Hubbard model can be solved exactly. PACS: 75.10.Jm, 71.10.Fd, 05.30.Fk. متن کاملSpin-fluctuation exchange study of superconductivity in two- and three-dimensional single-band Hubbard models
In order to identify the most favorable situation for superconductivity in the repulsive single-band Hubbard model, we have studied instabilities for d-wave pairing mediated by antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations and p-pairing mediated by ferromagnetic fluctuations with the fluctuation exchange approximation in both two dimensions and three dimensions. By systematically varying the band filling...

An inequality of the eigenvalues of the reduced density matrix ρ 2 at finite temperature in the Hubbard model is obtained by means of the Bogolyubov inequality. The quasi-average of˜S + in a simple symmetry-breaking perturbation of the Hamiltonian for a bipartite lattice is shown to be zero. Hubbard models and its extensions such as the SO(5) model[1] are currently believed to be able to accoun...
متن کاملThermodynamic Green functions in theory of superconductivity
A general theory of superconductivity is formulated within the thermodynamic Green function method for various types of pairing mediated by phonons, spin fluctuations, and strong Coulomb correlations in the Hubbard and t-J models. A rigorous Dyson equation for matrix Green functions is derived in terms of a self-energy as a many-particle Green function. By applying the noncrossing approximation...
